Violeta Millan Sanchez was born on November 28, 1929 to Juan Millan and Victoria Uyan. She had 3 brothers and 3 sisters who had passed away before her. She is fondly called Guling by her Millan relatives and Violy by family and friends.She married Leonardo Sanchez of Orion, Bataan on March 12, 1960 in Manila. They have 3 children – Cynthia, Girlie and Gary. She resigned from her job to be a fulltime housewife and a devoted mother to her 3 children. She often hosted visiting relatives from the province at their home in Quezon City in the Philippines. She has 6 grandchildren, 5 based in the Philippines with children Girlie n Gary and one in Reno with daughter Cynthia with whom she was living with for over 16 years.Violy is known for her delicate beauty and graciousness. She is a sweet, soft spoken lady, a great listener with a kind heart and generous spirit. She has an endearing sense of humor and is never one to complain even as her health deteriorated. She died of old age on July 15, 2019, 4 months short of her 90th birthday.We will definitely miss her steady, quiet presence and her caring and thoughtfulness.Farewell, Violeta Millan Sanchez.
