Violet Fidel Villarta's Obituary
Violet Fidel Villarta, a resident of Union City/Castro Valley, CA passed away at the age of 80 on January 3, 2018. Violet was born June 20, 1937. It was in her home town of Stockton, CA where as a young teen she met her best friend Cesar N. Villarta (Feb 9 1936-May 5 2011). Years later the best friends fell in love and on April 18, 1959, Violet married the love of her life. Violet is survived by her four children – Lori Gutierrez of Sparks Nevada, Mark Villarta of Fremont, CA, Judi Keliiaa of Castro Valley, CA and Jill Dalton of Roseville, CA. Violet loved to sing and paint but what she most loved in life were her eight grandsons – Erik Keliiaa, Matthew Gutierrez, Brandon Keliiaa, Christian Gutierrez, Michael Villarta, Jason Keliiaa, Zachary Gutierrez and Jacob Dalton. Violet is also survived by her sisters- in-law – Josephine Vitalis of El Cajon, CA, Betty Quevedo of Rancho Cordova, CA, Cathy Currie of San Diego, CA, Gloria Villarta of Manteca, CA and brother-in-law Arthur Villarta of El Cajon. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Violet will be reunited in heaven with her loving husband, Cesar N. Villarta, her father Honorio Fidel, her mother Dena Fidel and her siblings Lucia Sevilla, Honorio Fidel Jr., Rosemarie Lopez and Antoinette Mariani. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life with visitation Thursday, January 11 2018 from 5-9 pm at the Chapel of the Chimes. Services will be held Friday, January 12, 2018 at 1 pm at St. Annes Church, 32223 Cabello St., Union City with burial to follow at the Chapel of the Chimes.
