I feel very honored to have had Auntie in my life. She was always kind to me.
When she entered into the Vale care center I would go with Carol to visit her and when Carol was out of town I would go visit on my own and she had the biggest smile for me and then she would say let's paint my nails and cut my hair.
What I hold close to my heart is from day one of her being at Vale, Carol visited her 3 to 5 days a week. Carol brought her favorite snacks, Sunday paper and she would care for Auntie in the most loving ways like giving her pedicures and making sure she was comfortable and most importantly her dignity and Auntie knowing she was loved and not to forget the hunt we went on for her red Christmas sweater.
When covid came the separation was very hard but Carol still made sure Auntie got her goodies, paper and notes of love and would stand at her window so she knew she wasn't alone. The stories are endless of Carol and Auntie. I know Auntie was greeted with all her family and friends who went before and it was grand homecoming.
Thank you Auntie. I love you and Carol you are a priceless human being.
Love Lisa
