Verna Alice Cambra, a resident of Newark for 21 years, entered into rest at Washington Hospital in Fremont on Sunday, February 3, 2002. She was born in California on February 5, 1940, she was 61 years of age. Verna enjoyed life... listening to music, traveling, fishing and she loved being with her grandchildren and family.She is survived by her beloved husband of 16 years, John Cambra of Newark. The loving mother of Teri Martin of Tampa, FL, Kristine Stortz of Long Island, NY and David West of Santa Rosa, She was step mother to John Brian Cambra, Sharon Marie Walsh and Julie Yancy. Dear sister of Marcella, Geraldine, Etta, John, Delbert and Barney. Caring grandmother of 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, February 6, 2002 from 5 to 8:30PM at the Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, Hayward, CA. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon, Thursday, February, 7, 2002 in the Reflection Chapel of Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA 94544.
