Vergel “Papu” Ricafrente Worrell, born Wednesday March 29th, 1967 in Pasay City, Philippines; Entered into Rest on Saturday August 31, 2013 in Union City, California. Age 46 years.Survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Nancy S. Worrell; his father, Julio Worrell; his daughters, Alana and Isabel, and his son, Vincent; his brothers, Dante, Orlando and Napoleon Worrell; his sisters, Esperanza Celestino and Miriam McCarthy. Pre-deceased by his loving mother, Vicenta R. Worrell.Vergel “Papu” Worrell attended schools in the New Haven Unified School District, followed by Chabot Community College in Hayward. He worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 20 years, receiving some Good Values Awards for being a good and caring nurse. He attended Mass at both St. Stephen’s and St. Anthony’s Catholic Churches in Washington state. His hobbies and activities included drawing, writing poems and songs, and growing different varieties of orchids. He was known as being a loving father, and a good friend and neighbor.Visitation was held on Friday September 13th, 2013, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Chapel of the Chimes Mission Chapel, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA 94544.Additional Visitation was also held on Saturday September 14th, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM, with a Funeral Service at 10:30 AM, at Chapel of the Chimes Mission Chapel, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA 94544.A graveside Committal Service followed at 12:00 Noon, at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, adjacent to the mortuary.
