Vera Davis Flatow's Obituary
Vera Davis Flatow was born on January 9, 1918, in Fresno California. Vera was the second of four girls. Vera married Lloyd Davis in 1938 and remain married to him until his death. Vera had six sons with Lloyd, Mark, Chuck, Jack, John, James, and Victor. Although she graduated from nurses training, Vera was a stay at home mom for many years. Vera was an excellent seamstress and made beautiful clothes for her grandchildren including prom formals for her nieces. Vera was active in her church in Hayward and later in life became very involved in the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, serving in many capacities including State Commander and later National Commander of that organization. Vera put in countless volunteer hours at the Veterans Hospital in Livermore. She was also married to Robert E.Flatow. Vera moved to Pollock Pines in 2009. She celebrated her 100th birthday on January 9, 2018. Vera is survived by his son Jack and Victor, 16 grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Vera passed on March 27, 2018.
