Urbano Diaz Moreno's Obituary
Urbano D. Moreno, 82 passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2002 at Oak Creek Care Center in Castro Valley, California. He was born on May 25, 1919 in Arizona. He was a resident of Hayward, California for 75 years. He worked as a Forklift Driver for 35 years for the Alameda Naval Air Station. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He loved to play guitar and garden. Urbano was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Alice Moreno, his parents, Marciala and Sefrino Moreno, two sons, John Moreno Sr. and Alex Moreno Sr., three sisters, Bernadina Mesa, Ysidra Jasso and Delores Basurto and a brother, Sefrino Moreno. He is survived by two loving daughters and two sons, Lydia Micallef of San Lorenzo, Marylou Anzaklo of Hayward, Henry Moreno of Greenville and Albert Romero of San Leandro, California. He also is survived by a dear sister and three brothers, Marcela Trujillo of Stockton, Eleterio Moreno of Manteca, Joe Moreno and Butch Moreno both of Newman, California. Urbano also has 13 wonderful grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.Family and Friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Tuesday, January 8, 2002 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. with an Evening Service at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home - Reflection Chapel.
