Trinidad Joaquin Dela Cruz's Obituary
Trinidad Joaquin Dela Cruz, 77 passed away at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, California on Friday, June 14, 2002. Trinidad has been a resident of Oakland, California for three years and prior of San Leandro, California for five years. Trinidad was born to Eugenio and to Juana Joaquin in Pangasinan, Philippine Islands on March 4, 1925. Trinidad was a homemaker for 50 years. She was a member of St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Oakland, California. She was a Ligonier of Mary in her home parish in the Philippines. She loved to cook and she loved to take care of her flowers especially, her orchids. She also enjoyed knitting in her earlier years.Trinidad was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Eugenio and Juana Joaquin. Trinidad is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years on June 2, 2002, Modesto Vera Dela Cruz of Oakland, California. She was a devoted mother to her daughter and two sons, Flordeliza "Elsie" Dela Cruz Tolentino and her companion, Daniel F. Andal both of Oakland, California, Hector and his wife, Cristina R. Dela Cruz of Laguna, Philippines and Rolando Dela Cruz of Oakland, California. She leaves behind her dear sister, Conchita Encarnado of Laguna, Philippines. She was a proud grandmother of three grandchildren, Marvin Dela Cruz and his wife, Nova Caringal Tolentino of Toronto, Canada, Jayvee Joshua R. Dela Cruz and Christine Joy R. Dela Cruz both of the Philippines. Trinidad leaves behind her precious great-granddaughter, Cheska Alexia C. Tolentino of Toronto, Canada.Family and Friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Wednesday, June 19, 2002 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home and on Thursday, June 20, 2002 from 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home - Mission Chapel.
