Tommy "Tom" Parnala's Obituary
Tommy "Tom" Parnala a Decoto resident entered into rest Friday April 18,2003 in Lathrop, California. Born in San Francisco, California on June 18, 1943, he was 59 years of age. Tommy will be remembered as the Candy man. He worked for Castro Valley School District for 13 years and for the old Levin, Vesper Hospital in Hayward for over 15 years. Many nieces, nephews, family and friends and his seven granddaughters will miss him and one grandson Jr. will miss Papa dearly. Loving father of Christina Lozano and Jaylene Parnala of Union City, Joanna Kent and Jacob Scott of Lathrop. Dear brother of Lois Holt of Georgia, Katherine Gonzales of Lincoln, Donald Parnala of Decoto, John Parnala of Missouri, Carlos Parnala of Sonora and Richard Gerber of Manteca. Devoted grandfather of seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. His sister Karen and two brothers, David and Sonny preceded him in death. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2003 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a Funeral service Wednesday, April 23, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mission Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home."Service of Marked Distinction"
