Tommy and I became friends when we worked together in General Motors. Sandra and him were expecting their second child and my husband and I were trying to buy our first home. Tommy had a lot do for us to qualify for that and from there own he was always there to help us. He was there when I became a widow and I could always count on him to share in my happiness in my tribulations, illness and sad days. He invited me to so many trips and always showed me the best of everything in accommodations and sharing. Tommy also was with me when I found my second husband as the company I need in my old age. My husband, Kenneth, also wants to say that he had a special regard for him since he met him as part of my life. Uncle Tommy was to pick me up from high school and he caught me playing basketball when I wasn’t supposed to. He didn’t say a word but watched the game. Once it was over I knew I was in trouble and would never play again. Rather, he said so you like to play, well, now that I know you are doing something good, I will come to your games. I was so happy to see him at my games. I definitely miss our conversations, your advice, and sincerity. I cherish the compassion you had for your family and others. You were more than an Uncle to me. Tom was an honest, forthright, kind and considerate man. He took me under his wing on my first day of work at General Motors as a newly hired college graduate in training and I will never forget his patience, wit, humility and exceptional intellect. Above all, I will remember Tom?s reverence to God and the pride, respect and love he always showed his family.
