Tomás Morales' Obituary
Obituary for Tomás Morales
Tomás Morales of Hayward, California, passed away peacefully in his home on January 10, 2026, surrounded by family.
Tomás was born on February 6, 1960, to Osvaldo and Hilda Morales in San Jose, California. He was the sixth of eight children in a close-knit family of four sons and four daughters.
During his high school years, Tomás was an accomplished athlete, running track and playing football. After graduating, he devoted himself to working hard and raising his family—a role he embraced with pride and dedication.
Above all, Tomás loved his family. He was kind and gentle and carried a quiet strength that made people feel safe. He was known for his calming presence and infectious laughter, which could fill any room, and for his playful sense of humor. A natural jokester, he brought joy and warmth wherever he went. He also loved movies and treasured the time spent watching and bonding over them with those he loved. He freely shared his wisdom with those in need and was deeply loved and admired by all who knew him.
Tomás had a deep love for ranch life. On any given weekend, he could be found on family or friends’ property helping with the chickens or pruning fruit trees. He wanted to help however, whenever, and wherever he could. His strong work ethic, generosity, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on many. Former coworkers often spoke of Tomás as a mentor and a guiding presence in their lives.
Tomás is survived by his beloved wife, Angie Calderón; his brothers and sisters; his children; his grandchildren; and his great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and all whose lives he touched.
Funeral services will be held on January 31, 2026, at 11:30 a.m.
