Tiofilo Aguilar's Obituary
Tiofilo Joe Aguilar, 92 of Hayward, passed away January 4, 2019.He was born in Pueblo, Colorado on December 30, 1926. Tiofilo Aguilar graduated from McClymonds High School in 1945 and received his degree on Ministry of Theology from Shiloh Bible College.He was married to Cora Aguilar on August 25, 1943.Tiofilo Aguilar worked for Bell Telephone for 2½ months, then was inducted into the Army. He was employed with the Port of Oakland as a truck driver, worked for Sears and did Custodial work at the S.F. warehouses. He owned his own business, The Douglas Gas Station. Later he was employed with Alameda County until he retired. He started as a laborer, truck driver, street sweeper, he became foreman I and ending with Supervisor I.He was a member of Shiloh Christian Church, he was a marriage counselor and greeter and had a passion for Auto repair, home remolding, sewing, camping, fishing, bowling, camel riding, Martial Arts where he possessed a purple belt, welding, traveling, abroad, and domestic travel, he traveled with the Gold Key, Family and Friends.He was accomplished in Furniture and Auto upholstery, worked a heavy duty sewing machine, mechanic, auto repair.He was survived by five son’s, Joey, Danny, Gerald, Thomas, and Tim Aguilar, his daughter Becky Lopez, 18 Grandchildren, 17 Great grand kids, Baby to be, 2 Great Great grand kids.Preceded in death by his parents: Felix and Rufina, his sister Gloria, his best friend and beloved wife Cora and his beloved Grandson, Timothy Aguilar. Funeral arrangements will be held at 11:00 am, Monday January 14, 2019 at Chapel of the Chimes.
