Thurman Arthur Smith a Pioneer, California resident entered into rest October 6, 2002 at Kit Carson Rehabilitation Center. Born in Oklahoma on October 8, 1922, he was 79 years of age. Arthur retired as a Steamfitter after 37 years from Local #342. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.Dearly beloved husband of Mary L. Smith for 29 years. Loving father of Debbie & Barry Culloty of Fairfield, Ca., Patricia & Mike Ballard of Georgia, Gene Smith of Hayward, Ca., and Larry & Kari Mackie of Arnold, Ca. Devoted grandfather of twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Friday, October 11, 2002 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. with a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park and Funeral Home; 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, Ca.
