Thomas Fitzsimmons' Obituary
Thomas George Fitzsimmons, a resident of Hayward, CA for over 60 years, went to be with the Lord the morning of May 30, 2019, at the age of 83.Thomas was born in Burns, Oregon on November 17, 1935. He was part of the first graduating class of San Lorenzo High in 1954. Following he joined the US Army Infantry where he served honorably until 1957.On June 24, 1956, he married his bride of 63 years, Diana Marie Jason and together they raised three children, Shirley Jean Castillo, Dawn Marie Froncek of Hayward, CA and William Herbert Fitzsimmons of Valley Spring, CA.He was a life time member of the painters and tapers union; and an ordained minister. He was known for his kindness and wonderful sense of humor. He loved to take photographs, read, and play with his grandchildren.Thomas is preceded in death by his father Herbert Francis Fitzsimmons, mother Alice Lorraine Judkins, step-father Bryan Arland Judkins, sister Patricia Anne Hansen, step-sisters Patricia Rowland and Darlene Whitfield and daughter Shirley Jean Castillo.He is survived by his wife of 63 years Diana Marie Fitzsimmons, daughter Dawn Marie Froncek, son William Herbert Fitzsimmons as well as 8 grand children, 7 great grand children, 1 great great grandson(Thomas), many in laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends. He will be dearly missed.A public Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10AM on June 28, 2019 at Fairway Baptist Church in Hayward, CA.
