Thelma Louise Luckenbach's Obituary
Thelma left us on April 11 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Wichita, Kansas to Charles W. Buck and Irene Elizabeth Cameron Buck. After her parents made their second trip to San Francisco in the 1930s they stayed. Thelma attended schools in San Francisco and Richmond, graduating from Polytechnic High School in San Francisco in 1948. She then completed a cosmetology course in San Francisco, earning her state license. In 1949 she met Eugene Luckenbach and they were married on January 15,1950 in San Francisco. After living in the city for five years they bought their first and only home in San Lorenzo in 1955. Thelma lived there for almost 62 years as an original owner. She is pre-deceased by her parents, husband and daughter Deborah Ann Rose. She is survived by her children Linda (Luckenbach) Santillan and Eugene C. Luckenbach, Jr., six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
