Thelma Beatrice Barnes a Castro Valley resident entered into rest Friday, November 16, 2001 in Castro Valley. Born in Hamilton, Iowa on October 21, 1912, she was 89 years of age. Thelma was an avid collector of Barbie dolls. She graduated from Opportunity Business School in Denver, Colorado. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She loved to sew. She worked as a Bookkeeper for 30 years for Haven Machinery. Loving mother of Marjorie L. Curtis of Castro Valley. Devoted grandfather of two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 21, 2001 from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward.
