Terrence Lamont Basey's Obituary
Terrence Lamont Basey, lovingly known as Terry, was an exceptional person with a warm and down-to-earth personality.
Terry was born in Alameda, CA., on March 3, 1976, to Wendell and Hazel Basey, and departed this life on February 24, 2020.
He lived life to the fullest and strived to be the best person he could be. He was always there for his family and his friends.
Terry was very social, along with his friends was noted for the annual picnic they hosted in Union City.
When there was a gathering to a friend's event, Terry would be there.
Terry loved to travel, New York, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Disneyland, and Cruises. Most of all, time spent with his wife and children was most cherished.
Terry loved to play basketball and was very skilled at the game; as a Freshmen, he made the Logan High School varsity team, becoming known as the "Freshmen Sensation."
As a result of his demonstrated basketball skills in High School, he received several letters of recruitment from colleges.
Not wanting to leave home, California State University, East Bay, was the recipient of his basketball talent.
Terry studied hard while at California State University, East Bay, earning a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources.
His degree served him well, working for 10 years in Human Resource Management at Sutter Hospital.
Before he began work at Sutter, he worked in Human Resources at SaveMart. During High School and College, Terry worked at Food For Less in Union City as a Checker and a Front EndSupervisor.
He leaves a wife, Tami, and two gorgeous children, Amaya, age six, and Dylan, age three.
His brother Reggie and sister Karen, Grandmother, as well as a host of relatives, niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, will miss him deeply.
