Tereza A. Pambid's Obituary
TEREZA ANRITEMTEM PAMBID October 15, 1920 March 5, 2008 Mrs. Tereza Pambid was the youngest of six children, survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Mr. Dominador “Dom” Pambid. She is also survived by her older sister, Felisa Jandoman, her two daughters, Virgilia “lily” (George) Viterbo, Ederlina “Erlyn” (Jerrold) Sugarman, and one son, Orlando”Orly” (Denise) Pambid. She was a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren: Mia (Gary) Duran, Nina (Edwin) Fong, Brendon (Suzanne) Pambid, Kristopher Pambid, Jeremiah (Lisa) Sugarman, Regina Belen, Jasmine Pambid and Four great grandchildren: Jacob Duran, Tatum Duran, Aaron Duran and Kai Pambid. Tereza was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to the United States in 1980. She was an accomplished dressmaker, holding the directorship role of a prestigious fashion school in the Philippines for four years.. She had been an active member of the Mormon LDS Church since 1965, she and Dom were married and sealed in the Oakland Mormon temple. After retiring from Wells Fargo Bank where she worked for 10 years, she resided with her husband at the Josephine Lum Lodge in Hayward where she happily continued to make dresses for family and friends and enjoyed playing card games with her commadres. Tereza’s health slowed in 2005, but she continued to spend time with family and friends whenever she was able. Tereza was a tough disciplinarian to her children and raised them with high moral values. She was a helpful and compassionate friend, always ready to lead a helping hand. Tereza’s family sends many thanks to those who had provided hospice and medical care to Tereza during the past several years. Her home day care providers and to the medical staff of the following healthcare institutions, St. Rose Hospital, Washington Hospital, Vintage Gardens Nursing Home, Magnolia Gardens Convalescent home and Northridge Medical Center. Visitation for family and Friends will be Friday- March 14, 2008 4:30 to 8:30pm, evening service at 7pm. Funeral Services will be Saturday- March 15, 2008 at 10am in Reflection Chapel of Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward.
