Teresita Lamorena Lizardo's Obituary
My name is Alexander Lizardo Peterson, grandson of Teresita Lamorena Lizardo born May 23rd 1931. It is with great solemnity that I share with you the news that on the morning of June 7th 2018 at the age of 87, Mama Tasit has passed away. Many of you, like myself knew her by a number of names, Teresita, Tasit, Mama Tasit, Mom, Mother, Auntie, Sis, Sister, Lola, Ate, or simply just Mama. No matter how you addressed her or who she was to you, you no doubt have some moments and memories of who she was that come to your mind as you got the news of her passing. I ask that you find comfort in those as I am unfortunately only able to share so much of her through writing this as I can. I am embarrassed to say that I only know so much. I know she was born in the Philippines and has a younger sister in Lola Bellia. . I know she was a teacher there. I know she was married and blessed with four children; Birilo, Maria, Edna and Joselito. I know she worked tirelessly and often to provide for her family after the loss of her husband while the children were young. I know what my mom has shared with me. I know there is so much more about her life in the Philippines that can be shared with me and I hope all of you will be willing to share. In turn, I can tell you about my Mama helped raise me. The Lola who worked early in the morning before the sun was up at dawn at Seagate Magnetics for more than 15 years. I can tell you of someone who was generous with every aspect of her being. I have memories of her sharing her food, her money, her home, her knowledge, her love and her time. I’m very good at ranting so for now this will have to be all that I can offer you. It may not be much but there was no way I could surmise everything here even if I had all the information. Instead let us all look forward to the exchanging of stories, memories, laughs, tears and all other emotions while we remember our Teresita Lamorena Lizardo. Everyone wishing to pay there respects we ask for you to join us at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward California starting on the eve of the 22nd of June where a viewing will be held from 5:00PM to 9:00PM. We ask that those who are able to attend arrive by 7:00PM for the Praying of the Rosary. The following morning of the 23rd of June will begin our Service at 10:00AM with it concluding at 12:00PM noon.
