Teresita Agustin's Obituary
Teresita Lerit Agustin, age 74, of Oakland, California, joined her creator Saturday November 14, 2020 surrounded by her close and loving family members.
Teresita, also known as Tita or Ma Tit, will be fondly remembered as a beloved wife, dedicated mother, and doting grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Avelino Agustin; her caring children, Patrick and wife Melanie, Aurel and wife Lynn, and Jason; and her beautiful twin grandchildren Maxwell and Wesley. She also leaves behind four loving siblings - Antonio Sr., Felix Jr., Jocelyn, and Carolen; along with countless cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews who all love her dearly.
Teresita was born in Apalit, Pampanga, Philippines on December 10th, 1946 to Felix Sr. and Eudocia Lerit. She attended Ortanez School of Nursing in Manila and graduated with a Nursing degree. At the age of 26 she met Avelino, they fell in love and got married. Together they traveled and lived in Okinawa, Japan (1973), then San Francisco (1974), before they finally settled in Oakland. Here she lived the rest of her life as a proud military spouse and mother of 3 strong boys. She continued practicing nursing until her retirement at the age of 70.
Teresita was known for her artistry and craft making which gave way to her hobbies of gardening, crocheting and knitting. She was an animal lover; she leaves behind two energetic dogs and nine beautiful birds. She enjoyed traveling around the world with her sisters, trying out many delicacies - as a true food lover. She also loved spending time with her sweet grandchildren every chance she had.
Teresita will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her.
