Teresa DeJesus Renojo's Obituary
Teresa DeJesus Renojo, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, Oct. 24, 2017 in Milpitas, CA where she resided for 39 years. She was 91 years of age. She was very fit and strong for her age to her death. Teresa was born September 20, 1926, in San Marcelino, Zambales, Philippines where she studied to become a school teacher. In 1951, Teresa married the love of her life Modesto M. Renojo, an enlisted man in the U.S Navy. As her husband honorably served out at sea, Teresa managed multiple businesses in the Philippines, Bagoong, a sea-food condiment distribution service and multiple productive rice lands and at the same time raised four young children. Teresa and the children joined her husband during his time of service at Midway Island, Athens, Georgia and finally San Jose California. In San Jose and eventually Milpitas, Modesto and Teresa settled down and happily looked after their beautiful grandchildren.In Milpitas, Teresa enjoyed gardening, grocery shopping, cooking and frequent lunch outings with her children and grandchildren who visited and took care of her daily. We will miss her wittiness, smirk smile, kindness and tenacity. She was a strong, beautiful little woman and will be solely missed.Teresa is survived by her four children, Helen (Renojo) Panelo of Fremont, CA, Edgar Renojo of San Jose, CA, Marites Renojo of Dothan, AL, and Gemma (Renojo) Iskiyan of Highlands Ranch, CO, their spouses Jack, Brad and Rosario, 7 grandchildren Nadia, Nicole, Jacqlyn, Lorenzo, Emily, Davis and Erin, and 3 great granddaughters Kailee, Kristiana and Madelyn. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Modesto Renojo on May 5, 2002. They were happily married for 51 years. Visitation and Vigil Service at 5pm-9pm, Monday, Oct. 30, 2017 at the Chapel of the Chimes, Reflection Chapel, 32992 Mission Boulevard, Hayward, CA 94544 (510) 471-3363.The Funeral Service will be held 10:00am-12:00pm, Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2017 at the Chapel of the Chimes, Reflection Chapel. Interment to follow at the Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, 32992 Mission Boulevard, Hayward, CA 94544.
