Dr. Tejindar (Teji) Sandhu's Obituary
Teji was born in New Delhi. He attended school in India, Florida and Canada before graduating from University of Oklahoma with his MD degree. He was always at the head of his class achieving Principal’s, Dean’s and President’s honor roles; and he earned his MD as the youngest student in his class. He chose to do his medical internship in the San Mateo in 1978. It was his passion for psychiatry and the city of San Francisco that made him its permanent citizen. Because of his move to San Francisco it enticed other members of the family and resulted in his parents relocating to the San Francisco area after retirement. He was particularly close to his parents providing them with great love, care and support throughout the years.Teji had a heart of gold. He helped others personally and professionally. To him his patients were always number one; and his family and friends meant everything to him. He embraced the world of technology and because of this his friendships spanned the globe.The loss of Teji will be felt by many.Teji is survived by his parents, Dr. Harjit Sandhu and Rupinder K. Sandhu; brother, Kanwaljit, sister-in-law Sara, two nieces, Megan (Justin) and Jamien and nephew, Steven; and two great nieces and a great nephew. He will also be dearly missed by his aunts, uncles and cousins internationally.
