Tamara Ann Imai's Obituary
**Tamara Ann Imai May 27, 1959 - April 21, 2025 **
Tamara Ann Imai passed away peacefully on April 21, 2025 in Walnut Creek, California,
at the age of 65. She was born on May 27, 1959, in Honolulu, Hawai’i to the late Robert
and Donna (Parrish) Imai.
Tamara, known affectionately as Tammy, was the beloved sister of Bruce (Lynda), Scott
(Dawn), and Paul Imai. She was a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, coworker,
and friend whose gentle spirit and infectious laugh left a lasting impact on those
around her.
Tammy spent many meaningful years in the Girls Scouts, with her mother as her
devoted troop leader, building character and friendships that lasted a lifetime.
She had a deep love for music, which led to a highlight in her young life of playing the
flute with the Kalani High School marching band at the Macys Thanksgiving Day
Parade in New York City. She went on to major in music at Drake University, where she
became an accomplished pianist. Later, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in
Business Management from University of Phoenix.
She treasured her time with her six nieces and nephews-Sean, Lauren, Allison, Sarah,
Glenn, and Tyler-and was a loving presence in their lives. Tammy also leaves behind a
large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will deeply miss her warmth,
kindness, and silly sense of humor.
And then, there’s her love for dogs. Dogs were Tammy’s happy place. The first thing
she would do when entering a home was greet the dog, talking to them in that goofy,
high-pitched voice. She found great joy in the furry companions of her friends and
relatives.
Tammy worked in business management and consulting at Korn Ferry, Booz Allen
Hamilton, Robert Half, and Charles Schwab, where she was a respected and valued
contributor. She formed lasting bonds with her coworkers. Her humility, generosity,
and compassion enriched the lives of everyone who knew her.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all
whose lives she touched.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Lynnewood United
Methodist Church at 12:00 PM. The church is located at 4444 Black Avenue in
Pleasanton, CA
