SYLVIA MAY (GARCIA) JONESSunrise May 28, 1938Sunset September 28, 2018Sylvia was born in Oakland, CA to the proud parents of Emma (Ortiz) and Cedro Garcia. She was the oldest of four children. Her siblings are: Sandra (Garcia) Loughman, Richard Garcia, and Susan (Garcia) DiBiasi; a loving husband, James (Bob) Jones, and three children: Tammy (Thompson) Manley (husband Scott), Gene Thompson (wife Gloria), and Patrick Thompson who preceded her in death.Sylvia has seven grandchildren: James Manley, Alejandra Atalig-Pham, Marina-Lee Manley, Kyla Manley, Reuben Thompson, Glorianna (Gigi) Thompson, and Natalia Thompson.She also has seven great-grandchildren: Kimo, Anikka, Anaia Manley, Noriana and Nathan Pham, Evan Fenton, and Carleigh Ordaz, and two great-grandchildren born from her heart: Caylee and Caleb Doria.Born also from her heart are sons Robert (Cano) Jimenez (wife Francis), Li’i Spencer, and best friend, James Kimo Dorion. She loved you all immensely.Retired upholsterer from AC Transit, and avid hula/Hawaiian music fan as well.She leaves behind numerous family members and friends.Gone, however, you will never be forgotten._________________________________________________________Mahalo Nui Loa, and Muchas Gracias to the entire Garcia-Ortiz ohana, the Jimenez ohana, the Tilton ohana, the Holo-Holo Wahines, Na Mele Hula ohana, and the Academy of Hawaiian Arts ohana.
