Sylvia Heard Dec. 31, 1936 – Oct. 28, 2013 Resident of HaywardSylvia Mae Heard passed-away suddenly at her Hayward home, which she had resided in for many years. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, she moved to California in 1969. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie D. Heard, to whom she was married nearly 50 years. She enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds in her back yard, and enjoying the company of her three Dauchshunds.Sylvia is survived by her three daughters, Cherylyn Van Sloten (Troy), Eileen Beilke (Kent) and Lori Heard, and by her grandchildren, Chad Costa, Shane Costa, Nina Van Sloten, Holly Pfeifer, A.J. Pfeifer, Jesse Beilke and Sean Beilke.Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to your local SPCA.
