Swa Nar Kay's Obituary
Swa Nar Kay passed away on December 27, 2017 in Fremont, California due to a battle following pancreatic cancer. She was 75 years old.Ms. Kay was born on April 8, 1942 in Thabaung, Burma to her parents, Kay Tin Gar and Daw Shu Mui. She married U Ne Win in 1961, and they had one daughter and three sons together. She eventually moved to the United States in 1990, but regularly took trips back to Burma to visit family.She prioritized family and friends, and was always surrounded by a circle of warm friends wherever she lived. She was also a devout Buddhist, dedicating her time to help build temples in Burma and visiting different monasteries.Ms. Kay is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Yi Hum; her son and daughter-in-law, U Tun Win and Daw Su Su Hling; and three grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, U Ne Win.The funeral service will be held at 10:00-12:00pm on January 7, 2018. The burial will follow at 12:00-12:30pm on the same day. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ms. Kay’s life.
