Susan Alice Bailey's Obituary
Susan A. Bailey was born in El Mira, NY to the late Leyder and Dorothy Laudenslager on February, 28, 1946. Her valiant battle with cancer ended at home with family on Saturday, March 31, 2012. Susan spent 16 years working as a loving school secretary before retiring in 2003. It wasn’t just her job, it was her extended family and she continued to be involved for many years beyond retirement. She had a gentle spirit and loved making people feel special with her homemade crafts and cards and personal touches. She was proud of her lifelong friendships with “the girls” and is leaving many with memories of her teddy bear collections, annual Halloween parties and love for antiques. Susan is survived by her devoted husband of 32 years, Tom Bailey of San Leandro, her daughter Casey Camara of Tracy, her son Mathew Rosecrans of Oakland, her stepson Spencer (Irena) Bailey of Castro Valley, three beautiful grandchildren, her siblings Pat Wade of El Mira, NY, Helen Hecocks of San Leandro, Michael Laudenslager of Fremont and her dog Kingston. A celebration of life will be held at 1:30pm at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA on Friday, April 6, 2012. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Animal Rescue Foundation at
