Suraj Lal's Obituary
Suruj Lal was the heart of our family and the light in our lives. He had a gift for bringing people together with his kindness, warmth, and joyful spirit. His love for singing bhajans touched countless hearts in the Fijian community, filling every gathering with peace, joy, and togetherness . He was the loving son of late Babu Lal and late Chandra Pati Lal, the beloved grandsonof the late Mr. and Mrs. Kisun Lal, and the son in law of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rago Prasad. Suruj is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Urmila Lal, and his children Ronita and her husband Neil Prasad, Artika and her husband Dhiraj Gosai, and Rajnil and his wife Deepa Lal. He was the grandfatherof Dev, Neil Jr., Meera, and Rishav. He will be deeply missed by his brother Nand Lal and his wife Kanishma, his sister Tina Nandan and her husband Ashok Nandan, and his sister Satya Chand and her husband Subash Chand. He also cherished his nieces and nephews: Rajeshni and her husband Kush, Rocky, Roshika, Roslyn and her husband Brad, Naveen, Ronald, Poonam and her husband Joe, and Raymond and his wife Jesika. His grandchildren Esha, Shaun, Maya, Savour, Laina, Jahhanaha, Jai, RaymondJr., and Jayden were preciousto him. He is remembered with love by his colleagues and friends from Delaine Eastin, who were like a second family to him. His songs, his laughter, and his devotionto family will forever live in the hearts of all who knew him.
