Subhas Chandra Bansraj's Obituary
Subhas Chandra Bansraj, a Hayward resident entered into rest Friday, June 7, 2002. He was a native of Nausori, Fiji Islands born to Bans Raj & Sirtaji Bansraj on January 1, 1939. He played professional soccer and served as Treasurer for the Fiji Football Association. Worked as a Post Master in Fiji Islands. For the last 2 years he was a plant manager of Aargon High School in San Mateo, California. Subhas was employed with the County of San Mateo for 21 years. He loved watching the 49ers play and wrestling. He had a passion for gardening, growing roses and taking care of interior plants. Another enjoyment was playing pool and trips to Reno, Nevada. But most of all he loved his family and his two granddaughters. Dearly beloved husband for 13 years of Mrs. Prem Bansraj of Hayward, California. Subhas was the loving father of daughter, Sanjila D. Bansraj-Mace of Hayward, California. Sons; Suresh C. Bansraj of Concord, California, Sanjesh C. Bansraj and Shailesh C. Bansraj both of Hayward, California. Dear brother of Shiu Kali and Jai Mati both of Fiji Islands, Shiu Mati Prasad of Vancouver, Canada, Malti Hudson of San Bruno, California, Ram Sundar Bansraj of Nausori, Fiji Islands, Shyam Bansraj of Aldershot, England, Vijen Bansraj of Nausori, Fiji Islands, Frank Bansraj of San Bruno, California and John Bansraj of Melbourne, Australia. Special grandfather of Serina C. Bansraj and Brianna D. Bansraj both of Concord, California.Family and friends are invited to a wake from 5:30 p.m. ' 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2002 at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home ' Mission Chapel.
