Steven Ridgway's Obituary
Although we all feel that Steve has been taken far too soon from us all, we all agree that he has had an amazingly adventurous life, accompanied throughout most of it by his beloved friend Colin and in Steve’s own words “I have no regrets, I’ve had a great life and wouldn’t change a thing”. Steve was a wonderful, kind and loving son, brother and uncle. He had a real connection to nature and especially animals. When he was a young boy he was always bringing home stray animals that he had rescued and once even swapped his Scalextric for some white mice but was told in no uncertain terms by our parents to swap them back! His love and empathy of animals continued into adulthood where he would love and nurture any stray and neglected dogs and cats that he came upon. This was Steve and he treated people exactly the same, with kindness and a great deal of respect. We will all miss your great sense of humor, your twinkling blue eyes and ready smile. Rest in peace our dear brother in the arms of Mum and Dad.
