SIU YING TAM's Obituary
Siu Ying Tam passed away in Fremont, California on December 13th at the age of 92. Her last moments were spent surrounded by loved ones. With her last loving gaze upon the family, she comfortably and peacefully passed.Siu Ying Tam is survived by her four sons (Kee Wah, Kee Chun, Kee Ling, and Kee Ming Tam) and her two daughters (Siu Ching and Sau Fong Tam). She is preceded in death by her late husband, Po Lung Tam.Siu Ying Tam was born on September 10th, 1924 in Kiangsu, China. She married Po Lung Tam in 1943 and raised their 6 children in Hong Kong, China. After the death of her husband, Siu Ying Tam immigrated to the United States to join her eldest son in 1986. With the exception of her eldest daughter, she would eventually be joined by all her children in the United States.Siu Ying Tam was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who went out of her way to ensure that those around her were always fed, housed, and clothed. She was the matriarch of the Tam family and to some, a second mother. Beyond her dedication to her family, she was passionate about food, mah jong, and gardening.Funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, California on Sunday, December 18th. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Siu Ying Tam’s life.
