Sinaglaya Zaragoza Berdal's Obituary
SINAGLAYA “SENY” ZARAGOZA BERDAL at the age of 85 surrendered to her long-illness on February 9, 2015 in her blessed Fremont home, Alameda County. Her joyous life began on January 26, 1930, born the youngest of twelve children to Pedro & Valentina Capistrano Zaragoza in Gagalangin Tondo Manila, Philippines. In Seny’s earlier years, she worked as a social worker providing assistance where her efforts were needed. Seny is survived by Jaime P. Berdal, her true love and lifelong husband until death. Family matriarch to five children Rolando Berdal (deceased), Yolanda & spouse Craig Long, Jaime Jr. & spouse Paula Berdal, Josephine Aguirre, and William & spouse Mary Berdal; seven grandchildren Jermain & spouse Kami Long, Cherisse & spouse Mico Negron, Quincy & Isabella Berdal, Rolando & Liam Berdal, and Anthony Aguirre; also four great-grandchildren Tyler & Olivia Long, and Melissa & Melina Negron. Seny adored her piano playing and enjoyed music & dance. Seny, a devout Catholic, bestowed to family, friends and relationships, a giving unconditional heart. The greatest gift to her family were life lessons by profound examples. Seny’s life celebration and final resting interment will take place at Chapel of the Chimes located at 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, Alameda County. The viewing begins Monday, February 16 from 5pm-9pm with a 6pm Rosary in the Reflections Chapel, main building. Her funeral will be Tuesday, February 17 departing the mortuary at 9:30am for Holy Spirit Church located at 37588 Fremont Blvd., a full mass will be held in her memory.
