Shirley Rose Wiley, born Saturday October 1st, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio; Entered into Rest on Tuesday September 10th, 2013. Age 80 years. A resident of Niles, California.Our dearest mother, wife and friend, passed-away peacefully on September 10th, after a lengthy illness. She leaves behind her loving husband of 62 years, Ronald M. Wiley; her son, Steve and daughter-in-law Vicki; grandchildren Mitch, Travis, Angela, Jennifer and Joe, and great-grandchildren Cierra, London, Tristen, Hailey, Alyson and Hunter. Pre-deceased by her loving son, Gary L. Wiley.Born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Victor and Helen Jardy, they moved to San Lorenzo, California in 1945, where she attended the old San Lorenzo School, and later graduated from the “Great Old Hayward High” in 1950, where she met the love of her life, Ronnie.Residing in Niles since 1960, she was a wonderful wife and mother, and the “rock” of her family. She was always the one you could talk to, and to help you with your troubles. Past President of the Niles PTA, and Cub Scout Den Mother.Her favorite pastime was quilting. As a member of the Amador Valley Quilters Guild for many years, she produced some of the most unbelievably beautiful works of art as gifts to family and friends, and won many awards. A love of travel took her to many far away countries, like Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii and all over Europe many times. She led a wonderful life, and will be missed by so many that loved her.Visitation will be held on Saturday September 28th, 2013, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am, at Chapel of the Chimes Reflection Chapel, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA 94544. Burial will be private.In lieu of flowers, a donation to your favorite charity is appreciated.
