GORHAM,Shirley A. (Bubics) Gorham, 71 passed away at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, California on Sunday, September 29, 2002. Shirley was born to Charles G. & Alice D. Bubics in San Francisco, California on March 30, 1931. She was raised all her life in Hayward, California. She was a resident of Castro Valley, California. She graduated from Hayward High School in 1948. Shirley loved taking care of her children and grandchildren. She loved traveling to Mexico and working in her beautiful garden. She loved the ocean and loved spending time at Timber Cove. She worked as an Administrative Assistant for 25 years; most of that time was spent at Cal Com Graphic Supply Company. She and her husband, Dale was married for 50 years and they just recently celebrated with a party given by their children.Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Charles G. & Alice D. Bubics. Shirley is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 50 years, Dale R. Gorham of Castro Valley, California. She was a proud and devoted mother to her daughter and son-in-law, Charlene & Patrick Solis of Hayward, California, her sons and daughters-in-law, Keith & Toni Gorham of Castro Valley, California and Richard & Kathy Gorham of San Leandro, California. She also leaves behind her dear sister, Dorothy Kappeler of Alamo, California. Shirley loved and held dear all eight of her grandchildren, Patrick, Jr., Joey and Emily Solis of Hayward, California Kelly and Jamie Gorham of Castro Valley, California and Andrea, Lindsey and Jessica Gorham of San Leandro, California.Family and Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Thursday, October 3, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home - Mission Chapel with Internment to follow at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park; 32992 Mission Boulevard, Hayward, CA 94544.The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations be sent in her memory to the American Cancer Society: 1700 Webster Street, Oakland, CA 94612-3412.CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES MEMORIAL PARK & FUNERAL HOME -HAYWARD, CA (510) 471-3363."SERVICE OF MARKED DISTINCTION"
