BolarShirley F. Bolar Shirley Bolar passed away September 24, 2006 at her home in Castro Valley surrounded by her family. She was 81. Shirley is survived by her husband of 63 years, James; and was the loving mother of Ruth Pierce, Vicki Chapman, James and wife Jeanne, Martin and wife Marilyn, and Bill and wife Shelle Bolar; adored grandmother of Rod and Debbie Pierce, Nikole Chapman, Michael, Jeff, Alisha, Chelsea, Michele, Mindy and Matthew Bolar; and great grandchildren Morgan, Blake, Zachary, Bradley, Corey, Sierra and Kaleigh. . Shirley was the heart and soul of her family. She was very proud of her five children and they, and her grandchildren, were the focal point of her life and were her greatest joy. She loved gardening and her Oakland A's. Her front door was always open to the constant flow of family and friends. She will be remembered for her unconditional love, her friendly smile, and her good nature. She was an amazing, beautiful lady and she will be dearly missed. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, September 30th.at 1:30 p.m. at the Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward.
