Sheila Yvette Finley-Francis' Obituary
Sheila Yvette Finely-Francis was born on June 30, 1964 in Oakland California, to Haljean Finley and James B. Finley. Raised rooted in faith from an early age, she grew up in the church where her father served as Pastor, cementing a foundation in Christianity that shaped her life of service and devotion to others.
On March 3, 1990, she married the love of her life, Freddie Francis. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband Freddie Francis, her beloved children, Terence Harris Jr., Freddie Guillory, and Jamari Francis, as well as her adored grandchildren, Le’Ari Guillory, Jayla Francis, Kallie Harris, Xavier Harris, Kamilla Francis, I’Lani Guillory, Siaani Guillory, and Amaya Francis. She is also lovingly remembered by her siblings, sister-in-law, nieces, and nephews.
She built a successful career in retail management, strengthening her leadership skills early on, advancing professionally over time, and continuing to grow in her field. Throughout her career, Sheila was recognized for her ambition, strong leadership, and consistent dedication.
Sheila found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She loved singing in the church choir, shopping, cooking, and most of all, hosting family gatherings that brought everyone together. She was deeply family-oriented and expressed her love through acts of service and always putting others before herself.
Her faith and devotion to God remained a central part of her life. She was actively involved in her community, helping to organize various church events and celebrations. After the passing of her sister in 2012, Sheila stepped into a leadership role within her church community continuing her sister’s legacy of service and care.
Sheila will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, strength, and unwavering love for her family and community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
