Sharon Lynn Manha's Obituary
Sharon Lynn Manha passed away on Thursday, December 1st, 2022 at Eden hospital in Castro Valley, CA.
She died from an intracranial hemorrhage at age 85. Sharon was born on July 9, 1937 in Tacoma, WA to
Conrad and Anne Ganes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Manha. They were
married for 59 years and raised 4 children: Jim, Shelly, Tim, and Dan. She is also survived by her sisters
Connie Howard and Christie Johnston. Sharon was a proud grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 3 great
grandchildren: Daniel, Michael, Sarah, Mark, Adam, Heather, Nick, Jackson, Hunter and Theo. Sharon
worked as a teacher for the New Haven Unified School District for 34 years. She continued to work as a
substitute teacher during her retirement until the age of 80. She was an accomplished pianist, spent
many years volunteering for the Boy Scouts and Campfire Girls, and shared her passion for arts and
crafts with her students. A memorial service will be held on January 15th, 2023 from 11 am to 12 pm at
Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA 94544. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation
may be made to the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA
