Shanton Louis Cox's Obituary
Shanton Louis Cox July 20, 1954 – Nov. 20, 2011 Resident of Oakland Shanton was a free spirit committed to living and enjoying life on his own terms. He was an avid motor-cycle/bicycling enthusiast and a Nascar fan. He also loved music and playing his harmonica. A devoted friend and Castro Valley High School graduate that worked at Melrose Ford for 30 years. He had a unique and engaging personality and sense of humor that will be missed by his many friends and family members who all loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Cox. He is survived by his father, Harold Cox, wife Patricia, son Marcus, daughter Collette Byrd (David), grandson Brian, brother Charles (Barbara), sister Lydia and brother Darold. A graveside memorial will be held at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward on December 5th at 11am.
