Sgt. Thomas Alfred Smith Jr.'s Obituary
Thomas Alfred Smith, Jr. was born on March 19, 1971 in Hayward, California. He graduated from Moreau Catholic High School in Hayward and went on to graduate from the Contra Costa County Law Enforcement Training Center. Tommy was a Sgt. for the BART Police Department. Tommy met his wife, Kellie, in 1997, they married in 2001 and their daughter, Summer, was born in 2006. Tommy was a fabulous husband, a loving father, a great brother, and a tremendous friend. He was always a sports fan; he loved the Oakland As, the San Francisco 49ers, and playing golf with his family and friends. Tommy is survived by his wife, Kellie; daughter, Summer; mother, Betsy; brothers Ed and Patrick; numerous nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Smith, Sr. The visitation will be Tuesday, January 28th from 5 to 9 pm at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Boulevard in Hayward. The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 29th at 10 am at Neighborhood Church, 20600 John Drive in Castro Valley.
