Senena I. Herrera's Obituary
Senena Inocencio Herrera a Suisun City, California resident entered into rest Wednesday, August 14, 2002 in Fremont. Born in Manila, Philippines on July 30, 1923, she was 79 years of age. Senena was the first Filipino to open Dispensing Optical Shop in the 1970's. She lived in Fremont for 15 years before moving to Suisun City six years ago. Loving mother of Ethlyena Herrera of Union City, Kalileva Herrera of Mill Valley, Myrna Romero and Terri Tamayo of San Jose, Ivy Rodriguez of Suisun City, Rolando Herrera of San Jose, Oscar Herrera of Suisun City and Carlos Herrera of San Leandro. Dear sister of Grace Oben of the Philippines, Maximo Inocencio of Hercules, Mario Inocencio of Richmond and Danny Inocencio of Oklahoma. Devoted grandmother of twenty grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Her husband Dr. Jose Herrera of 56 years preceded her in death. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 17, 2002 from 1:00-4:30 p.m. and Sunday, August 18, 2002 from 5:00-8:30 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a Mass Monday, August 19, 2002 at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd., Fremont, CA 94536.
