Love you, Rubio Family. I’m praying for you all every single day. May the God of peace surround you and comfort you during this time.
I have so many good memories of Selina. She carried a light that brightened every room she walked into, and her laugh made you want to laugh with her no matter what kind of mood you were in.
One of my favorite recent memories of her is when we ran into each other at the Bird in Hayward. We were outside, and she was with a couple of her friends. We were catching up while her friends were talking near a bush out front. All of a sudden, her friend slowly tumbled backward into the bush. Selina and I grabbed each other, turned our faces away, and laughed uncontrollably. (Her friend was completely fine, it was a slow soft tumble) It’s such a simple moment, but one I will never forget. That laugh of hers was something special.
The weight of who she was will be deeply missed. Even though we didn’t get to see each other often, I’m so grateful I have that memory with her. I remember it like it was yesterday.
I love you, cousin. You will be greatly missed and have impacted so many lives. Rest in His love. Aloha ʻoe, until we meet again.
