Santiago Marzan's Obituary
Santiago 'Sonny' Millanes Marzan was the youngest of 5 children of Marcelino & Dionisia Marzan. He was born on July 25, 1938 and grew up in Santa Cruz, Zambales, Philippines. He married Dominga on January 30, 1965 and graduated in college on 1967 and for 25 years he was a successful Accountant at U.S. Naval Base Subic Bay, Olongapo City, Zambales, Philippines. On 1987 he immigrated to California with his 7 children and successfully worked as a Nutrition Aide at Laguna Honda Hospital for 18 years. On 2005 he retired at the age of 67 years old and enjoyed the company of his children & grandchildren and vacationing to the Philippines. On January 27, 2013 he was diagnosed with glioblastoma a stage 4 brain cancer. He passed away on March 18, 2013 at 12:43 am at the age of 74 years old. He is survived by his wife – Dominga & their 7 children Susan, Sonny, Teresa, Randy, Harvey, Michael & Mark & 15 grandchildren -Joshua, Jacob, Christine, Caleb, John, Emman, Angela, Andrew, KC, Nikki, Catherine, Mia, Mico, Melodee & Melanee. Vigil Service is on Sunday, March 24, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Chapel of the Chimes 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA 94544. Funeral Mass is on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 10:00 am at Saint Anne Catholic Parish 32223 Cabello St. Union City, CA 94587.
