Sammy D. Ramirez's Obituary
“Turtle” Sunrise 11-25-1961 Sunset 5-25-2008 Sammy passed away peacefully in his sleep in Paso Robles, California while attending a Car Show, which was his first love and favorite past time. A native Californian born and raised in Decoto, son of Sam and Anita Ramirez of Union City. Sammy was a practical joker and enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends. He had a passion for restoring his 1957 Chevy and reveled in its display and performance in many Car Shows. He was also a member of the Royal Cruisers Car Club. He had quite an eclectic flavor of music as he was a Road Tech for the heavy metal bands Machine Head, Vio-lence, Re:Ingnition, Torque and Technocracy as well as enjoying other varieties of music. He most recently was employed by Wohler. Sammy is survived by his father and best friend Charles Sam, his loving mother Anita Ramirez of Union City. His two sisters Yolanda Ramirez and Anita Rivera also of Union City. He leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including his brothers from the Royal Cruisers Car Club, who have all become a part of our extended family. Sammy had a very special way of making friends, he was greatly loved by so many people at home and around the world. He will be truly missed. Visitation for Sammy will begin on Tuesday, June 3, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. – 8:30 P.M. at Our Lady of The Rosary, 703 C St. Union City, CA. 94587 with Funeral Services being held at the same location at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 burial will follow at Chapel of The Chimes 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA. 94544 Chapel of The Chimes 510-471-3363
