Sally Sue Gillis' Obituary
Celebrating the Life of Sally Sue Gillis Born on September 11th, 1933 in Arkansas. She was the 6th and last child of Dorothy Hale Hurst, and John Hurst. After graduation, she began a career as a Glass Bottle Production worker. She retired in 1980 after serving for 25 years. After retirement she devoted the rest of her life to her family and grandchildren. She then married a Mr. George Davis. Also dedicating her life to the belief in Jesus Christ as her lord and savior. She had many friends, including Lola, Ms. Adams, Nina, Kathy, Kathy Lee, and of course all of her neighbors. Of all her life’s work, Sally would always say her greatest accomplishments were getting married and raising such a loving, caring, and wonderful family. Often described as honest, loving, generous, and strong. She leaves behind many grand, great, and great-great grandchildren. She was always honest and sincere, and always would be behind her children, right or wrong or not. She might have whooped your behind, but that was her job and no-one else’s. Holidays were always filled with huge meals cooked by Sally for her entire family, and anyone else who might have wanted to join. She will be greatly missed.
