Sabby Muscatel's Obituary
Sabby Muscatel Sept. 3, 1928 – March 15, 2012 Resident of Newark Born in New York City, he served on submarines in the U. S. Navy, and then continued on working for the Department of the Navy for 42 years. He first worked in the Brooklyn Naval Shipyard, and then was transferred to Hunter’s Point in 1965. He also worked at Mare Island, and finished his career at the Alameda Naval Air Station. He was highly valued for his work on aircraft carriers, and was sent all over the world to keep them functioning. Sabby was married to the late Rebecca Muscatel, and had two daughters: Marilyn Wachtel and Adriana Muscatel-Weiner. He is survived by them and his four grandchildren. He was a resident of Newark for 45 years. He will be laid to rest at Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery, in Hayward, on Monday, March 19, at 10:00 AM.
