Ruthie Morra's Obituary
Ruthie Morra 11/27/1930 – 2/18/2010 Resident of Hayward Ruthie passed away 2/18/2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and cancer. Ruthie was born in Turlock, California and shortly moved to Hayward with her parents John and Mary Silva, where they operated a small chicken ranch and apricot orchard. Ruthie attended Hayward High where she met her husband Louis Morra who had preceded her in death. Ruthie worked for Gallo Salami for 20 years. She was a member of the Hayward Seventh Day Adventist Church for over 40 years, the church being a large part of her life; she had made many friends and attended many church functions. For pleasure she loved looking for real estate, fishing, photography and being surrounded by her many dogs and cats. She loved her family most of all and was the most happiest with family gatherings. Ruthie is survived by John and Leslie Morra (son and daughter-in-law), Jackie and Don Surrett (daughter and son-in-law) Jeri Morra (daughter), Mary and Tom Cargill (niece and nephew), Kathy Silva (loving sister-in-law), granddaughter Jasmine Morra and great grandson Anthony Wolfe, great niece and nephew-in-law Michelle and Jay Cargill-Irlend and great great nephews Carter and Addison and life long friend Tony Cunha. Ruthie was a wonderful mother and friend to all, she will be greatly missed, the world has lost a jewel. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2010 at 11:00 am, Seventh Day Adventist Church, 26400 Gading Rd., Hayward CA. Interment will follow at Mount Eden Cemetery, Hayward CA.
