Ruth Ann Wise's Obituary
Ruth Ann Wise, a beloved wife, mother, stepmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025, at the age of 76.
Born on October 25, 1948, in California to Herbert and Olive Schulz, Ruth lived a life marked by warmth, resilience, faith, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, and steady strength left an indelible mark on all who were blessed to know her.
Ruth is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Wise; her three sons, Chris Vigil (Fannie), Kelly Vigil (Val), and Jason Vigil (Charlotte); and her two stepsons, David Wise and Adam Wise (Tina). She is also survived by her sisters, Cheryl Mesterton (Kai), Verna Walker (Gary), and Margie Fanucchi (Ed); her numerous nieces and nephews; her many grandchildren and countless dear friends. Each of them were touched by her loving heart, caring nature, beautiful laughter, lovely singing voice, and unwavering support.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Olive, her older sister, Lois Ferrando (2019), and her older brother, Richard Schulz (2014).
Ruth’s life was a tapestry woven with love. Whether as a wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, or friend, she created spaces of comfort and joy, and her presence was always a source of strength and peace. She will be remembered for the powerful way she nurtured those around her and for the deep love she shared so generously.
Her absence leaves a profound void, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
