Ruth JaegelResident of HaywardMarch 12,1929 – August 28, 2014Ruth Ida Nielsen was born in Glostrup, Denmark and died peacefully at home with her family at her side. She was the daughter of Svend and Laura Nielsen and had one sister, Gunda. In 1955, she and her best friend Margit Johnson immigrated to Hayward, California. In 1957, she married Eugene Jaegel, the love of her life. They were proud parents of Connie and Gerner. She was preceded in death by Gerner in 1969 and Eugene in 2005. She leaves behind two loving granddaughters, Kristine and Katherine, and son-in-law Steven Telles. She is survived by close friends, Ursula Aldridge and Sue Paniagua, and many friends from all the Bingo halls she frequented. Her hobbies included collecting Beanie Babies, Barbies, and reading romance novels. Known to her granddaughters as ‘Mormor,’ her most missed qualities will be her mischievous sense of humor and lust for life. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service at Chapel of the Chimes Reflection Chapel, 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA 94554 (510-471-3363) on Sunday, August 31st at 1pm.
