Ruth Hutchinson's Obituary
Eleanor ‘Ruth’ Hutchinson, age 96, resident of Hayward, California passed away in her family home on November 3, 2016. Ruth was born in New York, moved to the San Francisco area in 1929 where she spent the remainder of her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was very active in her community especially in the San Lorenzo Garden Club. Other passions included knitting, crocheting, reading, working crossword puzzles, and entertaining her large family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edwin F. Hutchinson, and her son, Gary E. Hutchinson. Ruth is survived in life by her children – Karen Picha, David Hutchinson, and Lynn Downing – her seven grandchildren, and her eight great-grandchildren.
