Ruth E. Benavides May 9, 1929 – June 4, 2012 Resident of Union City Ruth E. Benavides of Union City, CA passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by her husband, Roberto Benavides. Survived by her children; Robert A. Benavides, Art R. Benavides, Feliciana V. Perez, and Desiree A. Benavides. Her grandchildren; Tito A. Benavides, Maria A. Benavides, Cristina M. Benavides, Arthur R. Benavides II, Roberto G. Benavides, and 7 great grandchildren. Mother-in-law to Marina G. Benavides, Arnulfo R. Perez. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. A member of the Culinary Union for 50 years. Served the church her entire life. Born in Thornton, Texas and raised in Lubbock, Texas. Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Mon. June 11, 2012, 5 pm to 9 pm at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, CA. Visitation on Tues. June 12, 2012, 5 pm to 9 pm (Memorial Service to begin at 7 pm) at Templo Bethania/New Dawn, 4350 Hansen Ave, Fremont, CA. Funeral Service on Wed.
